Know your next base
before you get there
I built PCSgo Connect so anyone with orders can look up what a duty station actually costs, what the schools are, and where the care is, without handing over an email address first.
Open PCSgo Connect
What it is
PCSgo Connect is a free relocation guide for every United States military installation. No account, no sign up, and nothing gated behind a form. It exists because the honest version of that information was scattered across a dozen government sites and half a dozen lead-capture pages, and somebody with three weeks to plan a move should not have to assemble it themselves.
What is in every guide
BAH and cost of living
Official 2026 DoD rates for your rank, with and without dependents, next to median home values and rent for the county.
An area map
The towns people actually choose, schools, hospitals, and shopping, with measured drive times traced from each community to the gate.
Weather across the year
Live conditions from the National Weather Service plus NOAA 30-year normals, so you know the wet season before the truck arrives.
School districts
The districts serving each installation with NCES enrollment, school counts, and grade spans, plus DoDEA where it applies.
Health and base services
Military treatment facilities, VA care, the nearest civilian emergency room, child care, and the chaplain, one tap away.
A PCS toolkit
Printable checklists and calculators built around your station and your report date. Nothing to install.
Every installation is a guide
Each point of light is one of the 414 installations in the lower 48 that has its own guide. Alaska, Hawaii, the territories and the overseas stations bring the total to 495.
Kitsap County, where I work
I am a Military Relocation Specialist here in Kitsap. If your orders bring you to one of these, the guide is the honest starting point and I am the person on the other end of it. Bremerton-area BAH for an E-5 with dependents is $2,364 a month in 2026.
Where the numbers come from
Every figure on the site is federal data, attributed on the page it appears on, and refreshed when the source publishes. Where a figure is not published for a station, the guide says so rather than showing a number that does not apply.
Sources
Housing allowance from the DoD Defense Travel Management Office 2026 BAH release. Population, income, home values and rent from the U.S. Census American Community Survey. Cost of living from the Bureau of Economic Analysis Regional Price Parities. Schools from the NCES Common Core of Data. Weather from NOAA 1991-2020 Climate Normals and the National Weather Service. Installations from the DoD Defense Installation Spatial Data Infrastructure.
Common questions
Is PCSgo Connect really free?
Yes. There is no account, no sign up, and no paywall. You can read any of the 495 installation guides without giving an email address. Connecting with a Military Relocation Specialist is optional and you choose when to do it.
How do I find the BAH for my rank at my next duty station?
Open that installation's guide and use the rank selector at the top. It shows the official 2026 DoD rate for your pay grade, both with and without dependents, for the housing area covering that station.
Which installations are covered?
All 495 U.S. military installations across 54 states and territories, plus overseas locations, covering the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force and Coast Guard. You can browse every installation by state.
Who built it, and why?
Jorge Downie, a real estate broker with Keller Williams Greater 360 in Kitsap County, Washington, and a Military Relocation Specialist. It started because the same questions kept arriving from people with orders and no good place to send them.
Do I have to use a specific agent?
No. The guides are useful on their own. If you want an introduction, the site connects you with one vetted Military Relocation Specialist for your gaining area, and in Kitsap County that is me.
Have orders? Start with the guide.
Look up your gaining installation, see what it costs before you commit to anything, and reach out when you want a person rather than a page.
